What To Wear: Wine Tasting
In the hot summer months, wine tasting is the perfect getaway from the hot weather and lack of air conditioning at home. If you've ever been the organizer for a group outing for a day of wine tasting, you've probably received a few "what are you wearing?" text messages and then pondered the question yourself.
Our general rule of thumb is to dress comfortably. Dresses and rompers are typically made from lighter materials, which means you won't be so miserable in the summer heat. But we did find some denim we found suitable.
Dresses
Tank and T shirt dresses are probably our favorite, just because they're comfortable, casual and cute. If you're feeling more daring (and don't mind a wardrobe malfunction) strapless dresses are always great when it's 100º outside.
If you're more on the casual side of the fashion spectrum, tank dresses are perfect! Put on a pair of your favorite embellished sandals and a straw hat and you're ready for a day of wine and laughter. If it gets chilly, tank dresses usually pair well with leggings. Michael Stars Drawstring Waist Tank Dress $98 from Revolve
We love wearing bright colors while wine tasting! If you're there on a busy weekend, bright colored outfits mean your friends (or hired driver) can easily spot you in a crowd, which means your chances of being left behind are lower. Lauren Cuba T Shirt Dress, $79 from Revolve
Strapless dresses are awesome on hot summer days. Remove your sweater and let the sun shine down on your shoulders and chest—is there any greater feeling? Choose a dress that is bright with a stunning pattern to standout in your group photos. NBD x Naven Twins Just Wait Strapless Dress, $220 from Revolve
Who doesn't love a maxi dress?! When we came across this beauty, we couldn't stop ourselves from ordering it. Maxi dresses tend to be on the dressier side of the wine tasting scale, so if you're the one in the group to over dress, here's your best option. sky Pam Dress, $226 from Revolve
Rompers + Jumpsuits
Rompers + Jumpsuits are slightly more casual than a dress, though you can definitely dress it up with accessories.

Another item for you denim lovers. We loved the zipper detail and length of the leg for those slightly breezy days when you want a bit more protection from the elements. Pair it with some nude heels or a pair of bright espadrilles for a complete look. Current/Elliott The Flight Suit, $275 from Revolve
Our dressiest jumpsuit option, this black jumpsuit from Premonition is a wonderful transition piece. Another item featuring the cutout trend, this one also has mesh paneling for a sexier look. It's on the top of our must have list. Premonition Casablanca Jumpsuit, $132 from Revolve
